

Eula Bell Goforth “Peggy” Miller passed away in the early hours of October 10. She was born in Hendersonville, NC to Dulus and Cullie Hyder on January 23, 1934. Her childhood was spent in Hendersonville and Spruce Pine, N.C. She was called “Peppy” by all her grandchildren. Peggy loved her family, the color purple, Elvis, chocolate, shopping, drawing, poetry, and the Hallmark channel. Animals of all kinds delighted her, especially gorillas. She was a big fan of Koko and a member of the Gorilla Foundation. She always had stories to share of her childhood and relatives. Peggy leaves behind four children, Diane (Steve) Earley of Charlotte, N.C., Becky (Jeffrey) Reynolds of Aiken, S.C., Leeann (Kerry) Gould of Taylors, S.C. and Bill (Cyndi) Goforth of Pensacola, Florida. She had 10 grandchildren, Rebecca Earley of Paris, France, Sean Earley of New York City, Mark Earley of Mobile, Alabama, Graham (Ashby) Reynolds of Aiken, S.C., Hank (Hallie) Reynolds of Greenville, S.C. , Bess Reynolds of Spartanburg ,S.C., Justin Goforth of Greenville, S.C. , Alex Boyles of Simpsonville, S.C., Jessica (Steve) Boone of Gulf Shores, Alabama, and Adam Goforth of Pensacola, Florida. She had two great-grandchildren, Kali Hanson of Gulf Shores, Alabama and Benjamin Reynolds of Aiken, S.C. A memorial service will be held at Mackey Mortuary, 311 Century Drive, Greenville, S.C. Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at 6 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Gorilla Foundation, Koko.org.
