Evelyn Bishop Horton

Evelyn Bishop Horton, 100, of Taylors, SC passed away on January 29, 2014 which was the birthdate of her late husband: Wade M. Horton. Born in Greenville, she was the daughter of the late John and Mattie Bishop. Evelyn was a faithful member of Tabernacle Baptist Church, Greenville. She is survived by a daughter: Cynthia Allen of Greer; a son: Larry Horton of Greenville; six grandchildren: Kenneth R. Horton of Taylors, Cindy Tolbert of Georgia, Karen Hart of Easley, Brandon Horton, Jessica Horton and Jeffery Alexander, all of Greenville; ten great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren and a daughter-in-law: Donna Horton. She was predeceased by three sons: Bruce, Stephen, and Barry Horton; two sisters: Thena Hipps and Grace Tucker and a brother: Ernest Bishop. The family would like to thank Four Seasons Hospice for their love and care given to Evelyn while she was at Mtn. Home Health in NC. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Tabernacle Baptist Church 3931 White Horse Rd, Greenville, SC 29611and/or Four Seasons Hospice 571 S. Allen Rd. Flat Rock, NC 28731. Funeral service will be Friday, January 31, 2014 at 3:00 pm in the chapel of Woodlawn Funeral Home, Greenville, SC with burial to follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
