Jerry Hawkins, 74, was a man of faith. He was loyal, gentle, honest, and trustworthy. Born in Cleveland, OH, his work took him overseas and all around the country. He and his family lived in OH, ID, CA, NJ, and he retired to Greenville, SC in 2017.
Jerry served his country in the Air Force with honor for 34 years. He loved his wife of 50 years, Carole, and was very proud of his three daughters, Lisa, Melanie and Noel. He is also survived by his five awesome grandchildren and his two loving sisters, Laurel and Heather, and their families.
Jerry was a history buff, and an expert handyman. He was passionate about all things technology and car maintenance. He loved visiting the national parks and stopping at every historical monument and placard.
His caring nature and wit will be missed by all who knew him.
A memorial Service will be held on Monday, March 29 at 12:30 pm at the Palmetto Baptist Church, 620 Powdersville Main, Easley, SC. He will be laid to rest with honors at MJ “Dolly” Cooper Veterans Cemetery.
