Harvey Clinton Dellinger was born March 29, 1946 in Charlotte, North Carolina to Henry Clinton Dellinger and Martha Sherrill Dellinger. He died August 16, 2016 after a brief illness. Harvey graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi with a BFA in Commercial Art. His advertising career included work at Virginia Tech, Goudelock Advertising, Leslie Advertising, Henderson Advertising, Liberty Corporation and Harvey Dellinger Design. We will miss Harvey’s loving spirit, his wit, and his talent in art and photography. Harvey is survived by sons William Clinton Dellinger of Greenville and Matthew Blair Dellinger of Seattle Washington. He is also survived by granddaughter Riley Madison Merritt of Powdersville. A Memorial Service for Harvey will be held Friday, August 19, 2016 at 10:00 am at First Baptist Church Greenville. The family requests that memorials be sent in Harvey’s name to the Governor’s School for the Arts and Humanities Foundation, Greenville, SC.
