Imo M. Sexton

Mrs. Sexton was born August 27, 1933 in Gadsden, Alabama. She was the daughter of Frank and Gladys Moon. Imo was preceded in death by her loving husband of 66 years, Jim Sherman Sexton. She was a member of Hampton Heights Baptist Church.

Mrs. Sexton will always be affectionately remembered by all that were blessed to know her as a woman with a neverending sense of adventure and travel, her deep commitment to the lord, her immense love for her family and friends, her laughter that would light up a room, and her fondness for the theater. She never met a stranger and was always the first one to help you in your time of need. She was a devoted wife to Jim, a loving mother to her 6 children, and an extraordinary Nana to her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Mrs. Sexton is survived by her children Georgiann Yeager (Dave), Carol Hoey (Harrison), Jim Sexton, Jr. (Shirley), Barton Sexton (Michelle), Stephen Sexton (Christi), and Della Fitzgerald (Greg), 17 grandchildren, and many great grandchildren.

The funeral for Mrs. Sexton will be be on Friday, March 21, 2025 at 12:00 PM in the Remembrance Chapel at Woodlawn Memorial Park, 1901 Wade Hampton Blvd., Greenville, SC 29609. She will be laid to rest at 1:00 PM in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
