James LeRoy Smith Jr. was born on May 25, 1954 to James Leroy Smith Sr. and Mozelle Smith. He unexpectedly went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 20, 2022. LeRoy retired from Cracker Barrel in 2020, after 25 years of service. He loved going to the theater and watching movies.
He was predeceased by his mother, Mozelle Smith, father and step-mother, James and Jimmie Smith. Leroy is survived by his sisters, Barbara (David) Fisher and Cathy (Denny) Owen, step-sisters, Yvonne (Derek) Weast and Cindy (Jesse) Wright, as well as nephews, nieces, great nephews, and great nieces.
In lieu of flowers, the family would welcome donations to help with funeral expenses. Donations for the Smith family may be sent to PO Box 2474 Easley, SC 29641.
A memorial service for James will be held Saturday, July 30, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Mackey Funerals and Cremations at Woodlawn Memorial Park, 1 Pine Knoll Drive, Greenville, SC 29609.
