Jerald Murray

Jerald W. Murray, 55, of Simpsonville died early May 19th, 2019 due to complications from a massive heart attack. He was deeply loved and will be extremely missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.

He was born in Greenville, SC, the youngest of four. He is predeceased by his parents, James H. Murray and Sarah Compton. He leaves Cindy, his beloved wife of 30 years; and his 3 children: Jenna, Jamie (daughters), and Jesse (son). He also leaves behind a brother James F. Murray and sister Joyce Murray.

Jerald loved his family and was very proud of his children. He also loved his job and his Michelin family. He was a very active person in his community and had a huge heart for service. He completed weekly volunteer hours as a mentor at Sue Cleveland Elementary, he drove the church van every Sunday and did church visitation every Saturday to invite people to his beloved church, Bible Baptist. Some of his other interests included traveling, fishing, and antique collecting. He was very passionate about religion, politics, and sports! He loved his Gamecocks! During his time on earth, he impacted many lives, and we will always remember the time we were able to spend with him.

We will be holding a celebration of life on Thursday, May 23rd, 2019. Open visitation will be from 4-6pm at Bible Baptist Church in Simpsonville. The service will be held directly afterwards.
