Jerrie Brown

Jerrie L. Brown, age 83, of Greer, South Carolina passed away on Saturday, February 5, 2022. Preceded in death by her husband Jerry A. Brown in 1986, she was the beloved mother to three daughters: Linda M. Brown of Greer, Leslie R. Clark of Taylors, and Donna L. Brown of Greer. She adored her four grandchildren: Tyler Clark and Tristan Clark, who affectionately called her Mopsie, as well as Greg Geib and the late Van Jarrett.

Born on January 3, 1939 in Ware Shoals, SC to Lester Eugene and Lucille Madden, Jerrie was the last surviving member of a family that included four brothers: William, Robert, Terry, and James Madden.

Jerrie was known for her caring heart for all people, her adorable smile and her love of animals. She cherished the years she cared for children in her home as well as the time spent helping others while working at JB White’s department store. She was always ready for a road trip and a good laugh. She touched countless lives with her kindness and good humor. Even during the last 3 years when her memory failed her, her fighting spirit and ability to spread joy shone brightly.

A visitation for Jerrie will be held Saturday, February 19, 2022 from 12:00 PM to 1:45 PM at Mackey Funeral Home, 311 Century Drive, Greenville, SC 29607. A funeral service will be held immediately following from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM. A committal service will occur Monday, February 21, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Greenville Memorial Gardens, 7784 Augusta Road, Piedmont, SC 29673
