Mrs. Jo Young Parketon

Born in Charlotte, North Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Thelma Rucker Young. She was a homemaker and a member of Earle Street Baptist Church.

She is survived by her son, Van C. Parketon, of Greer, South Carolina; two grandchildren, Praither Parketon (Richard Gosnell) of Lyman, South Carolina, and Jason Parketon (Brandy) of Fort Mill, South Carolina; and two great-grandchildren, Van L. Parketon and Harrison Parketon, both of Fort Mill, South Carolina.

In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by a sister, Ann Fowler.

There will be a private graveside service in Woodlawn Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to Earle Street Baptist Church, 225 W. Earle Street, Greenville, South Carolina 29609.
