John Alfred Cooper, 96, passed away on March 2, 2012. Beloved by his family and friends, John was born in Walhalla, SC on January 10, 1916. John was the son of late Alfred Anderson and Mattie Hall Cooper.
John is survived by his daughter Joan Wike (Bob) of Easley, SC and grandchildren: Christi Capps and grandson in law Eddie, Scott Arnold, Casey Wike (Brittney), Chuck Wike and Chad Wike (Tracy); great grandchildren Ross Capps, Ashton Capps, Mallorie Bull; five step-great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by wife Christine C. Cooper, an infant daughter, Sister, and two brothers. John was the last surviving member of his family. The family would like to express thanks for the loving care provided by Joan Durham and Teri Buckholder.
Services will be Monday March 5, 2012, at 1:00 p.m. in the Remembrance Mausoleum Chapel at Woodlawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be prior to the service from 12:00 to 1:00 pm at the Remembrance Mausoleum Chapel. Condolences may be made to the family at www.woodlawn-fh.com.
