John was in the U.S. Army band, serving during the Korean War. He attended college and received his Master’s degree. John was active in the local Rotary club and his church throughout his life.
John and his first wife Jean had 3 children; Andy, Lynne and Valerie. He later remarried Anne and gained four step-children; George, Tracy, Heather and Elizabeth. Together they had 17 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather.
John loved music, golf, boating and water, and was a skilled handyman. He loved to tinker. He also loved to make people laugh and enjoyed being with his family. John was a kind, gentle man who impacted all who knew him. He will be greatly missed. We rejoice that his faith is now sight.
