John Grady Hines, Jr., 92, native of Greenville, and husband of Carolyn Harper Hines, died Tuesday, May 8, 2018.

A graduate of Parker High School and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, he retired from the US Navy after a 30-year career.

A graveside funeral will be held 12:00 PM Friday, May 11, 2018 at Woodlawn Memorial Park, with Dr. Marshall Sargent officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
