John Weaver

Born in Monkton, Maryland, on August 24, 1938, he was the son of the late Paul Walton and Julia Garver Weaver. John dedicated 36 years to the United States Postal Service and later worked with Willard Agri Services before fully retiring to Mount Airy, Maryland. He and his beloved wife of 67 years, Starla Weaver, enjoyed their retirement together, surrounded by friends and family.

John was preceded in death by his brothers, Paul Walton Weaver Jr., Wilton "Bill" Weaver and his wife Mildred, Jacob "Jack" Weaver and his wife Louise, Garland Weaver and his wife Wynonah, and Samuel Weaver; his sister, Lois Johnson and her husband David "Pete" Johnson; and his brother-in-law, Alfred "Grunt" Tolson.

He is survived by his loving wife, Starla; his three sons, John Weaver Jr. and his wife Diane, Michael Weaver, and Kevin Weaver and his wife Maria; and his grandchildren, Ryan Weaver and his wife Elyssa, Zachary Weaver and his wife Nicole, Brian Weaver and his wife Pressley, Ariel Smith (Weaver) and her husband Luke, Lexi Puckett (Weaver) and her husband Davis, and Brady Weaver. He also leaves behind his great-granddaughter, Adeline Eden Weaver, who is one year old. He is also survived by his sister, Judy "Sue" Tolson (Alfred's wife), and his sister-in-law, Doris Weaver (Sam's wife).

John will be deeply missed and fondly remembered for his dedication, his kindness, and the legacy of love and laughter he left behind.

Family, friends, and colleagues are invited to a Celebration of Life for John from 4:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on November 8, 2025, at The Links at Challedon Golf Course, 6166 Challedon Circle, Mount Airy, MD.
