Greenville, SC
Joseph "Ralph" Warren passed away on August 18, 2015 at the age of 91.
"Ralph" was a proud Marine who served our country in World War II and was a recipient of the Purple Heart. For many years, and up until his death, he frequently visited schools to share with students his experiences as a soldier during WWII. His love and dedication to the Marine Corps was a true testament as to how much he loved his country and he was able to remain active in the Marine Corps as a member of the American Legion.
Not only did he love serving his country, he loved serving our Lord. He was a beautiful example of a follower of Christ, which was shown by his constant desire to serve others. He delivered Meals on Wheels for over 25 years, up until 5 weeks before his death. He faithfully supported his Sunday School Class and his church, Edwards Road Baptist Church. He was a true loyal friend to many and was loved by all who know him. He taught his family by being the very hands and feet of Christ.
He is survived by his wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grand children. He loved his family from the depths of his heart and we love him right back! We love you always, Semper Fi.
Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Saturday, August 22, 2015 at Edwards Road Baptist Church.
Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, Spartanburg.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M. until 12:45 P.M. Saturday, prior to services at the church.
