It has been a year since you left and I think of you every day! You were the best father ever I never needed for anything. I always knew you loved me and would do anything for me! I love you Daddy and miss you dearly! Renee 

I always loved JC he was such a very kind and gentle soul, he never had a bad thing to say about anyone.  Such a gentleman. RIP  Kind sir you will be missed.

JC gave me a lot of life  advice when I was a young and very inexperienced officer at GPD.  He told me  to listen to people, really listen, always walk behind your wife, and open doors for her. I learned the best gift you can give is your time and attention.   I was blessed to spend some time with JC back in July of last year, and him giving of his time was a gift that can never be taken away from me.  My prayers are with the family in the loss, he was definitely  one of my heroes! 

JC was a good guy. Met him in 1977 when assigned to the platoon he was in (at Greenville PD).  He was even tempered and did not like to get in a hurry so much.  I liked him as did everyone else, which is an accomplishment, and that speaks to his character.  I was at still at GPD until when retired.  He will be truly missed by us all. .     

To my dad who I love so very much. You gave me my wings and made me a strong independent woman. You are my hero the best dad I could have had. I will never forget you, you and momma will always be in my heart and I will see you both one day. I love you Renee
