

She was born on April 10, 1942 in Panola County, Mississippi to the late A.G. Parkison and Clara Mae Parkison. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brother, James Rivers Parkison.
She was a graduate of Crenshaw High School and Northwest Mississippi Community College. Laura worked as a bookkeeper for nonprofit organizations and companies in northern Mississippi for many years. She was a dedicated member of Sledge United Methodist Church. An avid gardener and cook, Laura shared her love of flowers with her family and friends.
She is survived by her children Kimberlye Fayssoux Cornelson (George) of Charlotte, NC, Elizabeth Fayssoux Cummings of Greenville, SC and Morgan William Fayssoux, Jr. (Tammy) of Greenville, SC; eight grandchildren; her extended Parkison and Mooneyhan family; and her great friends and cousins Deanna Mooneyhan and Kendra Rhodes (Shane) of Germantown, TN.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 15 in the Chapel of The Mackey Mortuary at 3:30 pm in Greenville, South Carolina. A graveside service will be held at Longtown Cemetery in Crenshaw, Mississippi. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service at the mortuary.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, TN.
The Mackey Mortuary (Greenville) and Pate-Jones Funeral Home (Senatobia, MS) are in charge of the arrangements.
