Lila Kate “Kay” Baxley Poole, 80,of Greenville, widow of William Vann Poole, went to her heavenly home on Monday, March 19, 2018. She was born on February 2, 1938 in Marion, SC to the late Iris Estelle Pittman and Horace Fred Baxley.

Mrs. Poole was a member of Southside Baptist Church (now Fellowship Greenville) where she faithfully served in the church nursery. She loved all children.

She is survived by her four daughters: Kimberly Shepherd (Philip), Kristi Poole-Loomis (Bruce), Kelli Lindberg (Eric), and Karmen Poole; six grandchildren; four great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by one son; two infant sisters and one infant brother.

Visitation will be held Friday, March 23, 2018 from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm in the Chapel of Greenville Memorial Gardens.

Funeral service officiated by William Shepherd, follow at 3:00 pm in the Chapel of Greenville Memorial Gardens, followed by the burial at the cemetery.

Memorial may be made to the Shriners Hospital or Alzheimer’s Association.
