Linda was a teacher at Hillcrest High School and Greenville Technical College. She received her Ph.D. from the University of Texas in 1991. She was also a graduate of Furman and Clemson University and completed coursework and research from Emory University and M.I.T.
Survivors include her husband, Timothy Lambert Cleary; two sons: Charles (Sherre) Forrester and Jeffrey (Sarah) Forrester; brother, Robert Allen Vaughn and sister, Kathryn Vaughn Robinson; 12 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Linda was a nurturer and caretaker of all animals. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Greenville Humane Society at 305 Airport Road, Greenville, SC 29607.
A memorial service will be held at 12:00 PM, Saturday, April 16, 2022 at Woodlawn Memorial Park, Remembrance Chapel Greenville, SC.
