Linda Dobbs went to be with her Lord on May 1, 2022. She died peacefully at her home in Beaufort, S.C. after a hard fight with cancer. The fact she lasted as long as she did is a testament of her strength that she demonstrated throughout her life.
Linda enjoyed life. She enjoyed time with her family- first her mother, sister and several cousins and then later her husband, children, nieces and nephews, and grandson. As a young adult she worked as a unit secretary at Cabal Huntington Hospital. Once she married, she focused on being a wonderful wife and awesome mother. She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Greenville, S.C. She taught Sunday school for many years. In 1995, she was recognized as a South Carolina Sunday School teacher of the year.
Linda was the daughter of the late Mr. William Thomas Moore and Mrs. Madaline Gregory Moore of West Virginia. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lee F. Dobbs III. She is survived by her daughter, Susan Dobbs, her son, Lee F. Dobbs IV and her grandson, Cooper Wilson. Other survivors include her sister, Mrs. Jean Moore Nyrkkanen, sister-in-law, Mrs. Petrie Dobbs Brown, brother-in-law, Mr. Addison Dobbs and several nephews, nieces, great-nieces, and great- nephews.
Visitation will be held at Mackey Funeral Home at Woodlawn from 5 to 7 pm on Friday, May 6, 2022. Funeral services will be held at Mackey Funeral Home, 1 Pine Knoll Drive on Saturday, May 7 at 10 a.m.
