Linda was born to Charles and Florence Stegherr on June 29th, 1949, in Marine City MI. After receiving her Medical Technician Degree from Michigan Tech, she moved to S.C. in 1981 where she later met her husband, Chester Johnson by whom she is survived.
Chester and Linda were married on August 7th, 1982 and were wonderful godly parents to Caleb, Joe, Maryanne, and Eva. Linda was always gracious and welcoming to her children's spouses and fiance Kim, Zach, Ben, and Melissa.
Some of Linda's interests were traveling, reading, supporting missionary work, and bird watching. She asked Jesus to be her Saviour and Lord at an early age, and her greatest desire was for her children to know the Lord Jesus as their personal Saviour. She dedicated herself to teaching them by homeschooling all 4 children from K5-12th grade, teaching them of God's word, and praying for them. Linda leaves a legacy of self-sacrificing love for her family, and a desire for all to know and worship Jesus Christ.
A memorial service will be held at Greenville Christian Fellowship 2220 State Park Road, Greenville SC 29609 on Tuesday, October 24th at 5:00 p.m. Visitation will begin at 4:00 pm.
