Louie A. Clayton, 90, passed away Friday, August 22, 2014. Born in Greer, he was a son of the late Belvin and Lynn Morrow Clayton. He graduated from Clemson University with a degree in textile engineering and served in the Army Air Corps in World War II. He was a member of John Knox Presbyterian Church and retired from Diamond Wire Spring. He was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Ida Long Clayton. He is survived by his loving daughters, Candace, Lisa and Kathryn Clayton. He was also predeceased by his brother, Barney Clayton and his sister, Sue Clayton Chesson. The family will receive friends Wednesday afternoon from 1:30 until 2:30pm at The Mackey Mortuary followed by a graveside service at 3:00pm at Woodlawn Memorial Park with the Reverend Dr. Pamela Patrick Cole officiating.
