Margaret "Peggy" Ruppel Miller

Margaret Ruppel "Peggy' Miller, 86, died Thursday, April 14, 2022 surrounded by her family. Born in Winston Salem, NC, she was the daughter of the late Margaret Coupe and Robert Henry Ruppel. She was raised in Columbus, GA and attended the University of Georgia and was a member of Delta Delta Delta sorority. In 1956, she married the love of her life, Bryant I. "BI" Miller. They were married for 53 years until his passing in 2009.

Peggy served with joy on the Altar Guild and Wedding Committee at Christ Church Episcopal for many years. She was an avid bridge player and became a Life Master. Peggy was known to her grandchildren and their friends as Gampy and she loved them with all of her heart. She also loved "CoCola's", chocolates and college sports.

Surviving are her daughter, Margaret Marcum (Don); a son, Bob Miller (Shirley Correll); and four grandchildren, Meredith Miller Ledford (Cale), John Alexander Marcum (April Serieno), Robert Andrew Miller (Anna Catherine), and Emily Margaret Marcum (fiance, Peter Waldron).

The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Harmony at Five Forks and Lutheran Hospice for the love and care given to Peggy during her final years.

A funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 19th at 2:00.pm at the Markley Chapel at Christ Church Episcopal. Committal will immediately follow the service at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
