Maxine was a spirited and loving woman who treasured time with her family above all else. She had a deep appreciation for music—especially rock and roll—and was always up for a good laugh or playful prank. Whether enjoying a meal at a favorite restaurant or spending time by the ocean, she embraced every moment with warmth and adventure.
Maxine shared a close bond with her daughter, Mindy, and was rarely seen without her by her side. Her love extended deeply to her cherished grandson, Cole, whom she adored. She will be remembered for her big heart, fun-loving spirit, and adventurous soul.
She is survived by her daughter, Mindy Allen, and son-in-law, Shawn Jones; her beloved grandson, Cole Jones; her sisters, Tanya Brooks and Susan Gassaway; and her brother, Mark Allen (Saengdeuane).
Maxine was preceded in death by her parents, Donavan J Allen and Grace Margaret Allen, and her sister, Sandra Lee Ford.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 24, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Mackey Funerals and Cremations at Woodlawn Memorial Park, 1 Pine Knoll Dr., Greenville, SC 29609.
She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
