Merita " Rita" Barrett Hall

Rita was retired from The United Way and was a member of Mauldin First Baptist Church where she was active in Sunday School until health issues prevented her from attending in person. Rita was a loving and dedicated mother, grandmother, great grandmother, wife and friend. She was a faithful and dedicated Christian and had a love of line dancing.

Rita is survived by her daughter Kayla H. Sloan (John); and her son John Hall, Jr. (Sherry); her sister Martha Jean Knox; her grandchildren; John "Trey" L. Sloan, III (Marley), Elaine L. Sloan, John W. Sloan (Jocelyn), April Bayne (Tyson), Katie Sesit (Dane), her great grandchildren; Penelope Sesit, Bennett Burkett, Liam Sloan, Lindsay Pruett, Maddie Sloan and Emma Sloan.

Rita was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, John E. Hall; her father James Barrett and her mother Ethel Barrett; her grandson David Pruett and 9 sisters and brothers.

A Chapel Service for Rita will be held Friday, November 8, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Greenville Memorial Park, 7784 Augusta Rd., Piedmont, SC 29673.

Memorials can be made in memory of Rita to the Western North Carolina Relief or the Greenville Humane Society.
