Michael A. Teruggi of Greenville SC, passed away at Greenville Memorial Hospital on March 1, 2021. Born on June 16, 1949, in Des Plaines, IL, he was the son of the late Neto and Virgina Teruggi and graduated, Main West High School in Des Plaines.
Michael was past VP Marketing & Director of Motive Power at CIT Rail. He had over 50+ years of railroad equipment leasing and marketing experience. He has started three very successful freight car & locomotive leasing divisions for major rail industry suppliers and his specialties were market valuations for freight car and locomotive assets that are owned by investors and financial institutions. Michael was the happiest when he was working and a deal to be made. He still pursued those deals into retirement. He loved all those who would listen and let him tell his story.
Michael is survived by spouse, Debra Teruggi; his children, Angela and Michael Teruggi II of Oregon; nephews, Scott and Craig Weber of IL; niece, Lisa Kay of IL; and their families.
