Mieko Juliet Fox

Born in New Rochelle, New York, she was a loving daughter to Yasuko N. Fox and the late John E. Fox. She was also a loving big sister to Miyuki Fox, and a doting mother to three male pugs; Clayton, Jackson, and Lincoln, whom she loved with all her heart.

Mieko was raised in Greenville, SC but lived in Charlotte, NC for over 20 years. A graduate of Eastside High School, Mieko excelled in school activities. She was a proud Eagle and captain of her cheerleading team. She went on to get a bachelor’s degree in business from the University of South Carolina and was an avid Carolina fan.

Mieko was president of the Charlotte division of American Services, Inc. She worked for them for over 25 years until last year. She was very dedicated to her career; and prided herself on developing solid professional relationships. She knew her industry like the back of her hand.

In her downtime, Mieko enjoyed being out in nature, being in a pool or sauna, or attending local community events. Although she lived in Charlotte, she spent many weekends visiting and spending time with her mother while enjoying Greenville’s culture. She also cherished her summer vacations to Hilton Head Island; something she had done since she was a child. It was her happy place.

Mieko will be remembered for her kind, generous and thoughtful nature. Along with her strength, her witty sense of humor, her beautiful smile and her big and loving heart. Mieko will be deeply missed, but her loving memory will forever be imprinted on the hearts of those she loved.

A celebration of life for Mieko will be held Sunday, November 19, 2023 from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm at Mackey Funerals and Cremations at Century Drive, 311 Century Dr, Greenville, South Carolina 29607.
