Born in Washington, D.C., she was a daughter of the late James Albert and Eva Frances Parker Sheldon. She loved gardening, doing crafts and needlework, and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother and was of the Methodist faith.
She is survived by her four children, Guy Leslie Harrison (Cathy) of Greenville, South Carolina, Debra Ann Hare of Taylors, South Carolina, Nancy Marie Bridges (Glenn) of Stafford, Virginia, and Jennifer Thibodeau (Gabriel) of Sun City, Arizona; eight grandchildren, John Steven Hare, Jennifer Virginia Austin, Michele Harrison, Kierston Raygan Cronic, Lee Edward Harrison, II, Ross Warwick Harrison, Remy Thibodeau and Sebastion John Lynn; and numerous great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and other extended family members.
In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by her siblings, William Sheldon, Robert Sheldon, Herb Sheldon, and Helen Linnenbrogger; and a son-in-law Ron Hare.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 6, 2021 from 2:00pm until 2:45pm at Mackey Funerals and Cremations at Century Drive with a memorial service following at 3:00pm in the funeral home chapel.
