Growing up Mitchell was labeled a daredevil; when he was 3 years old, he wanted to ditch the training wheels and his swimmies. Mitch quickly moved on to jumping homemade ramps on his rip-stick and running into the back of a parked car losing his front teeth. He didn’t have a care in the world for what others thought of him, at the same time making and building many friendships along the way. He was a passionate fisherman, loving the water either on the shoreline snagging trees and grass, or on his boat reeling in ten pounders.
In school he participated in football, baseball, wrestling, golf and had an obsession with lacrosse. Not long after high school he discovered his passion and future career. He attended Greenville Technical College in pursuit of a degree in aviation. Ultimately repairing airplanes at Greenville Spartanburg Airport working for American Airlines.
If there is such a thing as a Kamikaze Karaoke competition, he definitely would have won it… He knew every lyric to every song across multiple generations and genres of music.
Good times will still be had, but it will never be the same without Mitch. His passing will leave a hole in the hearts simultaneously making us wealthier for being blessed knowing him.
