Born on August 4, 1969, in Greenville, Paige was the beloved daughter of the late Gary Lee Ricker and Lea Ricker Gramling. A graduate of Wade Hampton High School and the University of South Carolina Spartanburg, she built a life rooted in faith, family, and service.
For 36 years, Paige was the devoted wife of Gregory Charles Ashmore, Sr., sharing a marriage defined by love, partnership, and unwavering commitment. Together they created a home filled with warmth, laughter, and grace.
Paige’s faith was central to her life. A lifelong member of Taylors First Baptist Church, she faithfully served her church and community through serving as PTA President at Holly Springs Motlow Elementary School, as a nursery and preschool volunteer and a College and Career teacher on Sunday mornings at Taylors FBC, and a North Greenville University Christian Ministry Scholarship Fund Board Member. Her generous spirit and hospitality left a lasting impression on everyone she met.
Known affectionately to her grandchildren as “Queenie,” Paige’s greatest joy was her family. When asking her official title, she would tell you, “Grandmother”. She cherished every moment spent with her children and grandchildren, whose lives were the light of her heart. Her strength, love, and example will continue to guide them.
Paige’s courage during her illness reflected her steadfast faith in God’s plan and her deep inner strength. She lived each day with grace, gratitude, and hope, her life a beautiful testimony to what it means to love deeply and trust fully.
Paige was preceded in death by her brother, Gary Lee Ricker, Jr. She is survived by her loving husband, Greg Ashmore; her children Katharine Anne Ashmore (Nickie) of Greer, Charles Ashmore (Melanie) of Campobello, Stan Ashmore of Campobello, and her five cherished grandchildren: Josie Ashmore, Blakely Ashmore Templeton, Palmer Ashmore, Mack Ashmore, and Woods Ashmore.
She is also survived by her beloved mother, Lea Ricker Gramling, and her sisters, Stacy Cater (Michael) and Pam Warnock (Jason Hoag), with whom she shared an enduring and special bond. Paige’s warmth reached beyond her immediate family to countless nieces, nephews, and friends who adored her.
Paige will always be remembered as a devoted wife and mother, a gracious hostess who brought her family together, and a woman of deep faith and compassion. Her legacy of love and faith lives on in all who were blessed to know her.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2026, from 12:30–1:30 p.m. at Taylors First Baptist Church, followed by funeral services at 2:00 p.m. Family and friends are invited to join in celebrating Paige’s well-lived and faith-filled life.
A graveside service will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
