Pamela Hogg Strickland

Pamela “Pam” Hogg Strickland passed peacefully from this world into the loving hands of our Heavenly Father on November 1, 2024. Pam was born in Greenville, South Carolina to the late Joe Albert Hogg and Gladys Harrison Hogg.

Pam attended Wade Hampton High School, followed by General Hospital School of Nursing, and then Bob Jones University, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing. In addition, Pam studied midwifery in Scotland and attended language school in Switzerland as part of her training.

An active member of Parkwood Baptist Church, her deep Christian faith was manifest in her love for others. She traveled to Africa on medical mission trips along with numerous other locations outside of the United States. Pam worked as a registered nurse in several hospitals in South Carolina and Georgia for a total career of 49 years.

Pam is survived by her by son, Charlie Strickland; brother, Ronald Hogg; sister, Deb Hogg Akin (Morgan); and nieces, Paige Miller and Tara Rowell (Cope).

A visitation for Pam will be held Tuesday, November 5, 2024 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at Mackey Funerals and Cremations at Woodlawn Memorial Park, 1 Pine Knoll Drive, Greenville, SC 29609. Following the visitation there will be a graveside service at 1:00 PM in Woodlawn Memorial Park, 1901 Wade Hampton Blvd, Greenville, South Carolina 29609.
