

Born in Greenville, he was the son of the late Clarence G. Belcher and Edna Boswell.
He is survived by his wife: Sue Jones Belcher; three daughters: Deborah Belcher of Asheville, NC, Cindy Freeman of Pelzer, SC, Mandy Satterfield and her husband Wayne of Taylors, SC; two grandchildren: Jenifer Rotton and her husband Blair of Chesnee, SC, Lauren Adams and her husband Chad of Greenwood, SC; great grandchildren Brodie and Abigail Rotton, Jayden and Jonathan Adams; one brother: Joe Belcher and wife Doris of Taylors; nephew Randy Ward and wife Ann of Taylors, niece Miriam Bednar and husband George, niece Lisa Masters Dubowski of Greenville, SC.
The family would like to express gratuitude and appreciation for the excellent care giving by Dolorez Briley, Octavia Marone and Cindy Edwards.
Mr. Belcher was a member of Brushy Creek Baptist Church for 61 years. He taught Sunday School for many years, sang in the choir and served as a deacon. He served in the United States Navy as a Seaman First Class. He worked as a Rural Letter Carrier for 35 years; and was Union Representative for Rural Letter Carriers of SC.
He was predeceased by siblings: Burnett Belcher of North Dakota; James Belcher and Ruth Masters of Greenville, SC; Josephine Belcher of Richmond, VA.
Funeral services will be held at Brushy Creek Baptist Church in Taylors, SC on Monday, May 3, 2010 at 2:00 pm with burial immediately following at Woodlawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be prior to the service from 12:00 - 2:00 pm at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Brushy Creek Baptist Church Mission Fund or The American Parkinson Disease Association, Inc. 135 Parkinson Avenue Staten Island, New York 10305
