Quincy S. Inman

Born in Franklin, North Carolina on February 25,1939, she was the daughter of the late Charles William Stewart and Bess Widby Norton Stewart.

Quincy graduated from Cullowhee Laboratory School of Western Carolina University as Salutatorian of the class of 1957 and went on to major in biology and chemistry at Meredith College in Raleigh, North Carolina. After graduation, she was employed as a research technician at North Carolina State University in Raleigh.

She married Frank Justice, Jr. in 1962, but after a divorce married again in 1976 to Thomas Patrick Inman.

In addition to her parents, Quincy was preceded in death by her husband.

She is survived by her daughter, Katherine Elizabeth Justice Twomey (James) of Travelers Rest, SC; step-children, Patrick B. Inman (Belinda Dowdy) of Austin, TX, Lucy Noble Inman (Billy Warden) of Raleigh, NC, Jonathan D. Inman (Sonja) of Asheville, NC, and Benjamin Inman of Raleigh; grandchildren, Jessica Ann Twomey Seppala (Alex) of Greer, SC, Michael Charles Twomey (Frances) of Greenville, SC, Lucas Rae Warden and William J. Warden of Raleigh, Isabel Evangeline Inman and Ezra Stelling Inman of Asheville, Kathryn Inman and Jesse Inman of New York, NY, Anna Inman of Raleigh, and Sadie Inman of Juneau, AK; and great-grandchildren Audrey Grace Seppala and Semmi Martin Seppala of Greer, SC and Wilder James Twomey of Greenville, SC.

A memorial service for Quincy will be held on Tuesday September 23, 2025 at 4:00 PM at Christ Church Episcopal, 10 N Church St, Greenville, SC 29601, where she was a member.
