Robert James Atkins, 81, of Simpsonville, passed away November 5, 2014. Born in Patterson, NJ he was the son of the late Walter and Charlotte Atkins. Bob worked for Lyman Printing and Finishing as a textile sketch maker. He attended Grace United Methodist Church in Greer. Surviving are his wife, Cynthia B. Atkins; daughters, Leanne Atkins Dorrity (David), of Greenville; Susan Atkins Horton (Norris), of Spartanburg; Barbara Atkins Joiner (Dan), of Dover, TN; stepchildren, Scott Bralley, of Greenville; Chris Bralley (Debra), of Huntersville, NC; Maria Bralley Johnson (Todd), of Inman, SC; sister, Barbara J. Clark, of Buford, GA; thirteen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Graveside services will be held Saturday, November 8, 2014 at 3:00pm at Wood Memorial Park, Greer. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Grace United Methodist Church, Youth Ministry, 627 Taylor Road, Greer, SC 29651; or to McCall Hospice House, 1836 West Georgia Road, Simpsonville, SC 29680.
