

Bob was born in Anniston, Ala., a son of the late Frank A. Sikorski, Sr. and Beatrice Herring Sikorski. He and his family were active members of Sacred Heart Catholic Church where he served as an altar boy. Also, he enjoyed hiking and camping activities with the Boy Scout Troop, he also enjoyed fishing, racing, reading, University of Alabama football, and spending time with friends.
Bob’s God given artist talent was cultivated at Ringling School of Art in Sarasota, Fla. and upon graduation he worked as a technical illustrator with NASA and SCI Technology in Huntsville, Ala. and with GE and Fluor Daniel in Greenville, So. Car. In June of 2000 he retired due to health reasons.
Surviving in addition to his wife of 52 years, Stephanie, are daughters, Nina Maria Sikorski and Sharon Anita Sofield and husband, Brian, all of Greenville; grandson, Lucas Aidan Sofield; brother, Frank Sikorski, Jr and wife, Scottie; sisters, Carolyn Harrow and husband, Edward and Catherine Herriott and husband, David; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded by a son, Jeffrey Lamar Sikorski; daughter, Kimberly Claire Sikorski; stepfather, Col. James O’Brien; sister, Marjorie Root; and brother-in-law, Lloyd Root.
Memorial service 10 a.m. Friday, April 29, 2016 in the Chapel of Mackey Mortuary. The family will greet friends following the service.
