Taylors, SC
Rodney “Rod” S. Taylor, 65, died Monday, July 14, 2014.
Born in Alliance, Nebraska, a son of the late Rev. Sherman and Edna Thompson Taylor.
He graduated from Detroit Lakes High School in 1967. Rodney was a Vietnam Veteran and was employed with the Greenville County Recreation. He was an avid HAM Radio Operator KK4HXA.
Surviving are his wife of 45 years, Julie York Taylor; a son, Bruce (Jennifer) Taylor; daughters, Tiffani (Brian) Medlin and Raeleen (Michael) Rohde; brothers, Edward and Warren Taylor; and 5 grandchildren, Alex Taylor; Joshua and Jacob Medlin; Emma and Natalie Rohde.
Services will be held 2 pm Friday in the Greenville Nazarene Church.
The family will receive friends at the Church from 12:45 – 1:45 pm.
Entombment will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Diabetes Foundation.
