

Angie is survived by her daughters Debbie Vaughan (Dale) and Teresa Jones (David). Angie is also survived by her grandsons Bradley Vaughan (Holly) and Taylor Center (Ashley). Also her granddaughters Jennifer Boyd (Steve), Jessica Leezer (Chad), and Candace Stevens (Richie). Great grandsons Brayden Stevens, Gabriel Stevens, Jackson Vaughan, Grayson Vaughan, Charlie Leezer, Isaiah Center and Wesley Boyd and her great granddaughters Penelope Boyd, Ellie Leezer, and Niyah Grace Center as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Angie was preceded in death by her husband, Carroll Charping, to whom she was a devoted wife and helpmate for 65 years, her parents Claude and Ella Crain and her five siblings.
During her early adult years she was a seamstress with Carolina Blouse. She became a stay at home mom after the birth of her daughters. Faith was the cornerstone of her life. She spent mornings in her bible until the end of her life. She was a member of various churches during Carroll’s years serving as a minister of music and you could find her in the nursery rocking the babies and singing in the choir.
Angie was a devoted caretaker for many family members and an amazing cook. She was known for her contagious laughter and sense of humor. She enjoyed gardening, reading and crocheting blankets which she gifted to all the family members and to many throughout the community.

Services for Angie will be held on Tuesday, February 10, 2026 at Mackey Funerals and Cremations at Woodlawn Memorial Park, located at 1 Pine Knoll Drive, Greenville, SC 29609. Visitation will begin at 11:00 am followed by the funeral service at 12:00 pm. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park immediately after the service.
