Ruby Lee Thomas

Ruby Lee Friddle Thomas, 92, wife of the late Doyle Ashley Thomas, passed away Thursday, July 23, 2015 at Greenville Memorial Hospital.

Born in Greenville County, she was the daughter of the late William and Mary Ola McAdams Friddle.

Mama Ruby loved gardening and working in her yard, especially growing flowers and keeping everything pretty the way that Doyle used to do, whom she missed dearly. She also loved to treat herself by having her hair fixed. Above all, her family is what she loved the most and there wasn't anything more important than them, except her God.

She is survived by a daughter, Cyndy T. Ayers of Mauldin; five grandchildren, Kimberly Bailey (Dwayne), Shannon Richards (Doug), Ashlee Ayers, Kelly Ayers Ivester (Justin), and Kayla Ayers Petralia (Rick); and six great-grandchildren, Cameron Bailey, Kendall Bailey, Briggs Richards, Brody Richards, Macy Rue Petralia, and Ellie Ivester.

In addition to her husband of fifty-seven years, and parents, she was predeceased by a daughter, Margie Thomas-Pennebaker; and a brother, Prue Friddle.

Graveside services will be 3:00 P.M. Sunday, July 26, 2015 in Graceland Cemetery West, 4814 White Horse Rd, Greenville, SC 29611.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. until 2:30 P.M. Sunday, at the Mackey Mortuary.
