Sylvia Doreene Boozer Ragsdale

Born in Newberry, she was the daughter of the late Eldridge Stanmore and Maggie Louise Boozer.

She was a 1947 graduate of Newberry College, a schoolteacher, homemaker and seamstress.

Mrs. Ragsdale was a member of Greenville Christian Fellowship Church.

She was predeceased by her husband of 53 years, James William Ragsdale.

She is survived by four daughters, Claudia and Ron Stepp of Travelers Rest, Cindy and Ricky Jackson of Greer, Jennifer and Ashley Hendrix of Honea Path and Terri Lynn Ragsdale of Greenville; six granddaughters, Ashley McCall, Kelly Haynes, Shelly McNeilly, April Jackson, Jessica Hendrix and Ashton Butler; eight great-grandchildren, Kayla and Grayson Shepherd, Brent and Tyler Haynes, Meredith and Mason McNeilly, Maggie Hendrix and Ethan Butler.

She was predeceased by four sisters and three brothers.

Funeral services will be held at 12pm Wednesday at Greenville Christian Fellowship Church with Pastor Randy Cook officiating.

Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends Wednesday at 11am prior to the service at Greenville Christian Fellowship Church.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorials be made to Greenville Christian Fellowship Church, 2220 State Park Road, Greenville, SC 29609.
