Born October 7, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Thomas A. Bettis Sr. and Tallulah J. Mims. Louanne graduated from Greenville High School in 1959, following which she graduated from Anderson Junior College. She went on to attend Tift College in Tifton, Georgia and Furman University Greenville, South Carolina. Upon finishing school, Louanne went on to work at U.S. Shelter and spent many years in the insurance industry. She ended her career working at The Aesthetics Center Greenville for Doctor Sutton Graham.
Louanne was preceded in death by her parents, as well as her brothers James Ivison Bettis and Thomas Allen Bettis Jr. She is survived by her sister Betty Jo Bettis-Glenn (Gary), sister-in-law Sue Bettis, nephews Thomas Allen Bettis III and William Chad Bettis, and her niece Celeste Bettis Haynie.
A Graveside service for Louanne will be held on Monday, January 6, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Springwood Cemetery, 410 N Main St, Greenville, SC 29601.
