Born in Union County, he was the son of the late Ida Belle and Alonzo Jackson, Sr. Tom enjoyed a long career as an E&I Designer. He proudly served in the U.S. Army from 1968-1972 and was honored to be a Vietnam era veteran. He was a member of Brushy Creek Baptist Church in Taylors.
Surviving are his wife of 47 years, Mary Vick Jackson, a son, Tyler B. Jackson (Savannah) of Greer; one sister, Brenda Berry, two brothers, Alonzo Jackson, Jr. and Michael Jackson (Sherry) of Union; four grandchildren, Mary Kihla Jackson, Heidi Jackson, Dalton Jackson, and Madilyn Jackson; and two great granddaughters, Kynzie and Kairie Mimms.
In addition to his parents, Tommy was preceded in death by his son, Kahil Andrew Jackson, a daughter, Lisa Jill Jackson; two brothers, Terry Jackson and Lawrence (Butch) Jackson.
Due to the current world situation, a private family service will take place at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens on April 16, 2020 at 1pm with interment in the Garden of Rest.
A Celebration of Life service at a later date may be announced.
