Van Neil Blanchard, 71, of Greenville, South Carolina, loving husband of Judy Deese Blanchard, passed away on Saturday, February 22, 2020.
Born in Monroe, North Carolina, he was a son of the late Heath and Mozelle Eury Blanchard. Van loved spending time with his family, especially his sons and grandchildren. He enjoyed watching sports and eating. Van proudly served our country in the US Marines and was of the Baptist Faith.
In addition to his loving wife he is survived by two sons, Heath Blanchard (Amy) and David Blanchard; three grandchildren, Mary Neil Blanchard, Brooks Blanchard, and Deacon Blanchard; three brothers, Butch Blanchard, Phillip Blanchard, and Zale Blanchard; and two sisters, Donnie Snyder and Vicki Greene.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a son, James Blanchard; and one sister, Pasty Belk.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm until 12:45 pm on Wednesday, February 26, 2020 at Mackey Funerals and Cremations at Century Drive with the funeral service following in the funeral home chapel at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park with Military Honors.
Flowers will be accepted, or memorials may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
