Mr. Hammett was born on June 28, 1954 in Morganton, NC to the late Rev. Ralph Carpenter Hammett and Mrs. Ethel Hammett. He graduated from Salisbury High School in 1972. After high school, Mr. Hammett attended Mars Hill College for his bachelor’s degree and the University of Alabama at Birmingham for his master’s of Healthcare Administration. After nearly forty years working as a healthcare administrator, Warren retired in 2019 from River Falls Rehab in Marietta, SC.
He enjoyed grilling, working with his hands, good movies and good music. As his boys went off to college, he became a Clemson sports fan as well. He was rarely seen on days off without his favorite Clemson hat.
He is survived by his wife, LeAnne, and his brother RC (Cindy). His boys are Jacob (Meighan), David (Sallie), and John Michael. He is also survived by five grandchildren, Asher, Levi, Anna, Lucas, and Silas.
Services will be held at Mackey Funerals and Cremations 311 Century Dr. Greenville, SC 29607 on Friday, March 1st at 3:30 pm. There will be a celebration of life followed by receiving of friends and family.
