Warren Gary Rollins

He was born on December 16, 1950 in Greenville and was the son of Vernon A. and Viola Carroll Rollins. Other than his parents, he was predeceased by his beautiful daughter, Whitney Bess Rollins in April of 2021.

Warren was a 1968 graduate of Berea High School, a graduate of Limestone College and received his Master’s Degree in Human Resource Management from Clayton University.

He married the love of his life, Lisa Katherine Giles on December 31, 1971 and has been a loving and devoted husband for the past 51 years. He is survived by his wife Lisa, their son Matthew M. Rollins and his wife Joy Helmke Rollins and their daughters, Katie and Karie and was affectionately known to them as Bop.

He is also survived by his sister Carol Rollins Haines (Stan), Nelson S Giles (Wanda) Angela Giles (Randy Jones) and numerous aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Warren held many titles in his life including United States Marine Corp SGT, Computer Operator, Greenville County Deputy Auditor, high school and college basketball coach, singer/songwriter/guitarist and band member, but his favorite role was being a grandfather. He loved nothing more than spending time with his children and grandchildren and was always there for them.

He was an active and well-loved member of Brookwood Church in Simpsonville where he served as a greeter and an usher. He was truly a man of God and an inspiration to those in his community, especially his friends and his family.

The family will be at Mackey at Woodlawn Chapel Thursday, September 14, 2023 with visitation from 1:00pm - 1:45pm followed by the funeral service in the adjoining chapel at 2pm. The address is 1 Pine Knoll Drive, Greenville, South Carolina
