Born in Charlotte NC, he was the son of the late William Luther Dunn, Sr. and Kathleen Parrott.
He is survived by sons, Robert Lochridge and Kenneth Lochridge; granddaughter, Dawn Lochridge Boulos and her husband George and three other grandchildren and their spouses and sister-in-law Toni Laughridge.
He was a veteran of the US Army and from there went on to enjoy a long rewarding career in the education system. He received his Bachelor’s degree from Furman University and his Master’s degree from Clemson University.
Luther had the most inquiring intellect and a voracious appetite for reading. His favorite interests were technology, industry, politics, economics and finance. He possessed an astute, clever and thought provoking sense of humor. He had an entrepreneurial mind and a heart of gold. When learning of someone’s interests and goals he was quick to share excellent advice on how they could achieve them.
To that end, in lieu of flowers, Luther would want you to invest that money in your own financial security.
A graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at 3:00 PM at Woodlawn Memorial Park, Greenville, SC with military honors.
