

William Harold Graves, 88, son of J.W. and Minnie Garnie Graves (both deceased), passed away on December 12, 2025. He was predeceased by his wife of 57 years, Rachel Hall Graves in 2012 and his brother Charles Graves. He was born on August 1, 1937 in Woodside Mill Village, Greenville, SC.
He attended Woodside Elementary School and finished Parker High School in 1955. He attended North Greenville Junior College, Furman University and Clemson College. He was registered as a Professional Engineer in 17 states before retiring. He and his first wife owned and operated Graves Mechanical, Inc. for 10 years.
Harold was an arbitrator for the Better Business Bureau and received Arbitrator of the Year twice. He was a member of the Local Ad Review panel. He served as Post President for two years and State President for one year of The Travelers Protectors Association of America. He was a member of the Board of Directors of Applied Computer Technology. He served on the Greenville County Construction Board of Appeals. He retired from The School District of Pickens County in 2002.
He is survived by his current wife, Geri Graves, sons Rickey Graves of Bradenton, FL, Steve Graves and his wife Kathy of Greer, SC, his daughter Beth Brummett and her husband Ronnie of Greenville, SC. He is also survived by five grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
