William C. Hall

William Caldwell Hall, 95, died Wednesday December 29, 2010. Born in Charlotte, NC, he was the son of the late Lester Caldwell Hall and Thelma Langston. Caldwell served in the U.S. Marine Corp during World War II and was honorably discharged. He worked as a Credit and Operations Manager for B.F. Goodrich in both North and South Carolina for 35 years and retired in 2000 from Consolidated Tires after 30 years. He was of the Presbyterian Faith.

Caldwell was predeceased by his second wife Rosemary Crawford Hall. From his first marriage he is survived by a daughter Sandra Hall Lee and husband John Lee of Taylors; a son Richard Caldwell Hall and wife Thelma Crowe Hall of Hartwell, Georgia; three granddaughters Emily Lee Davis & husband Kevin, Allison Lee and her fiancé Roger Wagoner, Sandra Lee Bible & husband Todd as well as two great-grandchildren Emma Grace Bible and John Robert Lee Davis. He was also predeceased by a daughter Lynn Hall and two sisters Frances E. Hall & Thelma M. Hall.

He is also survived by step children Carol Crawford Terry, David Crawford, Donna Crawford McHugh, John Crawford and Timothy Crawford and their respective spouses, children and grandchildren

The family wishes to acknowledge with deep appreciation the excellent care Caldwell has received for the last five years at Laurel Baye Healthcare of Greenville and from Southern Hospice the final week of his life.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday January 4, 2011 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Woodlawn Funeral Home with visitation prior to the service from 1:00 – 2:00 PM. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial park.
