William McGowan Littlejohn, Jr.

Born in Anderson, SC, he was the son of Harriet Rose Barton Littlejohn and William McGowan Littlejohn of Greenville. He is survived by his father, William McGowan Littlejohn of Greenville; a sister, Beverly Barton Littlejohn of St. Petersburg, FL; a brother, Thomas Kenneth Littlejohn, sister-in-law Alice Fuller Littlejohn, and niece/goddaughter Charlotte Rose Littlejohn of Greenville.

Bill was a graduate of Wade Hampton High School’s first graduating class in 1966. He went on to attend Clemson University, Clemson, SC, Gardner Webb College, Boiling Springs, NC, and Coosa Valley Technical College, Rome, GA where he earned an A.S. degree in Electronics Technology. Bill served in the U.S. Navy from 1968-1972, with two deployments to Vietnam (Western Pacific). Although he had never had the pleasure of visiting Ireland, Bill was an avid Hibernophile (lover of Irish or Celtic culture). He was a history buff and especially liked learning about the Civil War. Bill loved music, football, cats, and his family. He was a faithful member of Fairview Presbyterian Church, Fountain Inn, SC.

A funeral and graveside service will be held at Fairview Presbyterian Church on Monday, November 21 at 2:00pm. The family will receive friends in the church fellowship hall following the burial.
