Born in Fountain Inn, SC to parents Alton and Elsie Lollis, he is survived by his wife Mary Lollis, one stepson and two stepdaughters, Gary Turner, Sharyn Broome and Janice Bundy. He is also survived by three brothers and four sisters: Nancy King, Pauline Craig, Joyce Bridges, Alton M Lollis, Ricky Lollis, Dan Lollis, and Rebecca Ayers. William was predeceased by two sisters, Ernestine Woods and Alice Bouchillon.
William enjoyed a long career in trucking. His hobbies included small engine repair, cutting firewood for friends and neighbors, and DIY projects.
A funeral service for William will be held at Mackey Funerals and Cremations at Woodlawn Memorial Park, 1 Pine Knoll Drive in Greenville, on Tuesday, March 5, 2024 at 2:00 PM with burial to follow at 3:00 PM.
