A graduate of Commerce High School and East Texas State University, Bill served our country in the US Army. After a career in industry, he retired from teaching in the School District of Greenville County after 20 years of service. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Mauldin.
Surviving, in addition to his wife of 58 years, are four children, David Sissel (Rhonda Carey), Lesa Welborn (Jack), Michael Sissel (Beth), and Rhonda Childs (Jody); eleven grandchildren; and a sister, Frances Miller.
Services will be held Thursday, July 28, 2016 at 3:00pm in the Mausoleum Chapel at Greenville Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Thursday afternoon from 1:00pm – 2:30pm at Mackey Mortuary.
