She leaves behind her friends, Kim and Gail Varner and family, and Pastor Grover Putnam and wife Debbie. Willie was predeceased by her parents, J.W. and Lois Sligh.
She was a former U.S. Marine, worked in the food service industry, and in her later years as a caregiver for the elderly. Willie had a zest for life and a fun personality. She loved children, her friends and her church.
Inurnment will take place on Wednesday, February 21, 2024 at 10:30 am at Buncombe Street Methodist Church 200 Buncombe St. Greenville, SC 29601 with a memorial service following at 11:00 am.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Congregational Care Ministry at Buncombe Street Methodist Church at 200 Buncombe St. Greenville, SC 29601.
